Hawk Technologies Selected for “Make It in Michigan” Grant to Advance FORGE

Hawk Technologies is pleased to announce our selection as one of 26 companies in the third round of the State of Michigan’s “Make It in Michigan” Mobility Prototyping Grant Program, administered by the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME) in partnership with the Centrepolis Accelerator. LEO - Michigan awards $2M to advance mobility and manufacturing technologies through “Make It in Michigan” grant program

This award supports the development and testing of a hybrid-electric propulsion and power system for crewed and uncrewed watercraft — a key component of our FORGE program (Freshwater Operational Requirements to Government-Ready Equipment).

FORGE is focused on advancing an autonomous cold-water maritime first-responder concept for the unique demands of Lake Superior search and rescue. This latest grant marks an important early step in that work: refining and validating the propulsion and power systems that will help move the concept forward.

We are proud to contribute to maritime manufacturing in Michigan.  We invite the public to follow our progress as we move through research, development, and testing. Collaboration and steady advancement are how we operate, and we look forward to sharing updates along the way.
